During the morning's classes, Pellegrini surprised students at Rome's Istituto Comprensivo via Boccea 590 - joining their video call for an early lesson.
The Italy international spoke to students about fair play, respect and honesty - and he also answered a number of questions from the students.
At the end of the class, Pellegrini also announced that Roma Cares would be donating a number of tablet computers, to enable students without them to follow online lessons with the rest of their classmates.
