The Giallorossi fell to a 2-1 loss in Bergamo, despite Edin Dzeko's first-half goal.
“We knew it was going to be very tough but we played better than we did against Sassuolo and Bologna," the Spaniard said.
"We've dropped lots of points and that's the reason we find ourselves in the position we're in. There are lots of games left to play, though. There are things we can learn from this game so that we can improve going forward.”
It hasn't been a good start to 2020 but Roma looked more solid today.
“We did, yes. We've conceded lots of goals since the start of January. We were conceding very few opportunities at the end of last year. We did well today in that respect. Looking at the goals, one came from a corner and the other when we lost possession.”
How did you pull off that save from Alejandro Gomez in the first half?
“[Roma goalkeeping coach] Marco Savorani deserves credit for that – he taught me to come out like that.”
