    Rachele Baldi joins Roma Women

AS Roma Women are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Rachele Baldi for the upcoming season.

Baldi, 25, joins the Giallorossi from Empoli Ladies, where she had established herself as one of the most commanding goalkeepers in Serie A.

“I chose to come to Roma because I felt the time was right for a change,” Baldi said.

“I really want to keep improving, and this club will give me every opportunity to develop and be the best I can be.

“Roma is a new chapter for me, where I can get stuck into things and really test myself.”

Having begun her career at Castelfranco, Baldi made her name at Empoli Ladies – where she played up until the end of the 2017-18 season.

She then made the move to Florentia but stayed for just one campaign – making 11 appearances before returning to Empoli ahead of the 2019-20 season.

Baldi is in and around the Italian national team setup – she played for the Under-23s at last summer’s University Games in Naples, while she received the first of many senior squad call-ups in December 2017.

    Welcome to Roma, Rachele!
