Casaroli moves into coaching role

Casaroli, 26, will become the head coach of the club's Under-13 girls' team, for those born in 2008. She will also assist with the first-team, learning from first-team boss Betty Bavagnoli.

Rome-born and raised, Casaroli joined the Giallorosse as back-up goalkeeper for the club's inaugural campaign back in 2018, and served as the third goalkeeper for the 2019-20 season behind Italy international Rosalia Pipitone and Romania international goalkeeper Camelia Ceasar.

Casaroli posted a message on Instagram on Wednesday, excited for her new adventure.

"Two years that cannot be explained - full of emotions, smiles and tough times," Casaroli wrote.

"Thank you to my teammates, to all those with whom I've shared these moments.

"And thank you to the club, for believing in me even before I did - and thank you once again for showing our future will be together.

"Today starts a new journey, a new life... a new dream come true."

Along with Casaroli, defender Eleonora Cunsolo also announced her departure from the club - after serving in a squad role for the past two campaigns.

"These have been two years I will never forget," Cunsolo said on Instagram, "and I will always carry them with me in my heart."
