Women's Serie A season to start at end of August

The Italian Football Federation have confirmed that the 2020-21 Women's Serie A season will get underway on August 22.

At a meeting to resolve the outstanding issues following the decision to suspend the 2019-20 season without completing it, the FIGC also confirmed that Juventus - league leaders at the time of the cancellation - will be officially awarded the title.

Fiorentina will also qualify for next season's Women's Champions League, while Tavagnacco and Orobica have both been relegated to Serie B.

Their places will be taken by Napoli and San Marino Academy.

Here's a reminder of how the league table looked at the time of the season's suspension.
