Roma players support #ShoesforDMD cause

Roma players have shown their support for the #ShoesforDMD cause, after being invited to participate in the social media cause.

In recent days, a number of professional clubs have helped raise awareness for the hashtag, which is in support of young boys who have Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) - a severe type of muscular dystrophy, and the most common.

Sufferers of the condition, which increasingly affects the legs over time, struggle to walk or run, one of a number of significant symptoms.

Roma were invited to show their support for the cause, and help raise awareness about the condition, by Greek side PAOK.

Players including Cengiz Under, Chris Smalling, Nicolo Zaniolo and Javier Pastore all got involved - showing off their boots to show support for DMD sufferers.

The club then asked two clubs, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid, to join in and continue the wave of awareness.
