Sunday's flight saw the conclusion of an intensive three-week training camp for the squad, which has seen coach Milena Bertolini assess her options and whittle down her squad.
“The training camp has been great, winning against Switzerland in a friendly helped as well,” Serturini told Roma TV.
“It has been three weeks of hard work, but that’s what you want ahead of a World Cup.
“Not playing in a World Cup for 20 years is too much, but it is something that will motivate us and give us the push we need to try and do as well as possible.”
