Roma coach Paulo Fonseca has been shortlisted for Coach of the Year at Portuguese football's annual awards ceremony.
Fonseca is one of five candidates for the prize at the 2019 Quinas de Oro, with the winner to be revealed at a ceremony in Lisbon on September 2.
Fonseca, who won the Ukrainian league and cup double with Shakhtar Donetsk last season, is up against Bruno Lage (SL Benfica), Vítor Pereira (Shanghai SIPG), Fernando Santos (Portuguese national team) and Vítor Oliveira (Paços Ferreira/Gil Vicente) for the prize.
Nominees for the awards were selected by an exclusive panel, including illustrious names from Portuguese football like Luis Figo, Pauleta and Vitor Baia.
