Gallery: Pre-season medicals for Bavagnoli's squad!

New Roma signings - among them Andrine Hegerberg, Amalie Thestrup, Kaja Erzen and Tecla Pettenuzzo - joined up with some familiar faces, as players were put through their paces and assessed ahead of the coming campaign.

The Giallorosse will train in Rome this week, before heading for a short training camp in Umbria.

“We’ve had a good break but I am very pleased to be back in Rome and I’m excited to get going again,” midfielder Vanessa Bernauer told Roma TV.

“I was eager to stay because this is a beautiful city, but I was especially keen to stay because we all worked hard last season and I felt settled within the squad. The club still wants to make some big steps forward, and I wanted to be around for that.

“I want to be at 100%, I want to do everything I can to be a key player. That’s my main target: to be a key part of the team.”
