Mirante keeps 100th Serie A clean sheet

Antonio Mirante has now kept 100 clean sheets in Serie A - becoming just the 11th goalkeeper since records began to reach the milestone.

Mirante made a number of important saves as Roma beat Juventus 2-0 on Sunday evening, with the clean sheet bringing up his century.

The 35-year-old has enjoyed a long year at the highest level of Italian football, representing Siena, Sampdoria, Parma, Bologna and Roma in the top-flight.

He joins the likes of Francesco Toldo, Angelo Peruzzi and Gianluca Pagliuca in reaching 100 clean sheets in Serie A.

Former Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon leads the historical standings, with 284 career clean sheets. Another former Roma goalkeeper, and the club's current team manager, Morgan De Sanctis sits second with 153 to his name.

Records officially began in the 1994-95 season.

Congratulations, Antonio!
