Fabrizio Piccareta's side fell to a 3-1 defeat against the Nerazzurri in Ravenna, with Inter forward Sebastiano Esposito stealing the show with a hat-trick.

The forward broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time and, after two goals in as many minutes midway through the second half, looked to have put the game beyond doubt for his side.

Riccardo Ciervo gave the team some hope with a strike with 10 minutes remaining - before a missed penalty kick from Matteo Cancellieri moments later extinguished hopes of a dramatic comeback.

Nevertheless it was an incredible season for Piccareta's side, who also finished runners-up in the international Alkass Cup earlier in the season.
