Fulfilling his duties with customary aggression, selflessness, spirit and conviction, the Greek stopper's impact was unmistakable, as he never gave his adversaries an easy touch.

Enduring a fascinating battle with Bologna forward, Federico Santander, he did a fine job of limiting the Paraguayan's impact.

The former Olympiakos star rounded off his stirring shift with a series of pivotal tackles, interceptions and blocks to further amplify his importance.
