Roma Esports successfully defended their Elite Series crown by winning the tournament for a second year in a row.
After a slow start in the competition, the duo of 'Zimme' and 'Damie' won the FIFA 19 Gfinity Elite Series on the final day of competition. They defeated exceL, Man City-Epsilon and Method on their way to securing another Elite Series trophy, becoming the only champions to ever defend their title in the tournament.
“To stay consistent on FIFA is very hard, and adapting to the 2v2 format was maybe even harder. But we did it and I’m so happy right now,” 'Zimme' said on social media.
This is the second tournament win of the FIFA 19 competitive season for Roma's Esports team, after 'Damie' won the inaugural West Ham Esports Cup last month.
