Annamaria Serturini continued her own fine spell of individual form with a clinical finish after just five minutes - a strike that helped change the course of the contest.
The Giallorosse were then forced to dig in to secure the three points - at least until striker Martina Piemonte made no mistake from close range in second half injury time.
Betty Bavagnoli's side have now won four of their last five games - drawing the other.
"We played well, especially in the first half," Bavagnoli said. "The girls were absolutely great, they did exactly what we wanted to do."
She added: "The strength of this group is the quality of the players, it really wasn't an easy game and it is great to take maximum points whenever you can. This will help give us momentum and motivation as we continue to work hard."
Next up for the side is a tough game against AC Milan, who began the weekend as league leaders.
"We deserve this run of results, we have worked hard and sacrified for each other," Piemonte added.
"We are showing how good we are, the next game is against Milan and - while it will be tough - we are playing at home and are thinking only about winning."
