Esports: Damie wins inaugural West Ham Esports Cup

Over the weekend, AS Roma Fnatic FIFA player Damie beat out 15 other esports players to win the first ever West Ham Esports Cup

The Polish gamer won his group, the PS4 final and eventually went on to be victorious in the Grand Final against his Giallorossi teammate on the Xbox side, Rannerz.

"Winning feels feels pretty amazing," Damie said. "This is the first event that I have won at, so I'm really happy. I didn't expect to win, especially with us playing in the mode we did. To win in this way makes me even more happy.”

After winning the Gfinity Elite Series on FIFA 18, this is the first trophy of the FIFA 19 competitive season for Roma’s esports squad, and Damie has his sights set on more silverware in the future: "I was able to find some consistency against some really good players today, so I just want to keep getting better. Now I'm targeting wins at more events.”
