Alberto De Rossi's side grabbed control of the match thanks to first half finishes from Alessio Riccardi and Devid Bouah - before Ludovico D'Orazio fired home just moments after the Russian visitors had grabbed one goal back to effectively kill off any hopes of a second half comeback.

The result keeps the side's hopes of reaching the knockout phase of the competition alive - just like the senior side, they will face CSKA back in the Russian capital in their next encounter.

"We are showing that we are improving, in all areas of the side," De Rossi said afterwards.

"We always need to be a bit more mature, a bit more balanced in our play: as the season continues, we are continually adding a bit of both to our play."
