Dzeko created the opening goal for Mohamed Salah and then struck the back of the net to give the home side a two-goal first-half lead but despite another impressive all-round display, the former Manchester City striker believes he can improve on the start he’s made to his Roma career.
“This goal is for the fans and the club," declared the Giallorossi striker after his strike helped Roma secure an all-important 3-2 victory against the German visitors. "They've always supported me and none of them have ever put pressure on me.
"Obviously I'm not happy that I've only scored twice so far, but I'm very pleased to have scored today and that my goal contributed to a victory. It was very important for the team and the club.
"I've played a lot for the team in recent matches, without scoring, but people expect goals from strikers. That's my job and I need to perform better going forward."
