The full squad landed in Australia just after 9pm last night and Zanzi expressed his pride about seeing so many supporters camped outside the hotel upon arrival.
"Our fan support everywhere we go is fantastic and extremely appreciated," he told the official website. "No matter where we go, we have terrific support and it's great to give our fans around the world the opportunity to experience our team first-hand.
“Australia has all the ingredients to be a great market for AS Roma. It has a fantastic sporting culture, growing soccer community and fan base and there's a strong connection to Italy. We are confident this stay will grow our profile and relationships here even further.

We have had great response to the initiatives that we have rolled out thus far and there are many new enhancements to come.”
With Roma due to contest the opening fixture of the International Champions Cup Australia against Real Madrid on Saturday evening, Zanzi was keen to praise the event organizer.
“We had an excellent experience last year during the ICC in the US," he added. "The organizers do a tremendous job putting together a top-notch competition that is really well organized. When those things are in place, it creates an environment that everyone enjoys.
“Melbourne is also a fantastic city and we are sure that players, coaches and staff will have a fun and productive stay. We always want to play in the best competition possible and do our best to win every match.
“We do have to be mindful it is very early in our pre-season preparation but are confident that our coach and performance staff will prepare our team and players appropriately. The facilities and organizational support here in Melbourne have been excellent and that allows us to prepare effectively even away from home.”
