El Shaarawy raring to go against Frosinone

AS Roma's new signing Stephan El Shaarawy says he's ready to play against Frosinone on Saturday night just days after joining the club

The 23-year-old completed a loan move from AC Milan on Tuesday after spending the first six months of the campaign at AS Monaco.

“Physically I'm fine,” the forward declared at his first news conference as a Giallorossi player. “I've already had three training sessions with the team and I'm ready if the coach wants to call on me."

Stephan also shared his initial impressions after two days of training with Luciano Spalletti.

“Training is more intense here and we do more fitness work than at Monaco, where most of the time you work with the ball.”

After four seasons at AC Milan, El Shaarawy joined the Ligue 1 outfit in July 2015 and went on to make 15 appearances for them.

“The last month wasn't easy. It was frustrating to train knowing that I wasn't going to play but I figured the best thing I could do was keep at it and make sure I was fit. I'm fine now.”
