Radja: Let's take the positives out of it

Radja Nainggolan believes Roma must look to take the positives from qualifying for the Champions League knock-out stages but insists the team needs to return to winning ways as soon as possible

The Giallorossi players were subjected to boos from fans after drawing 0-0 against BATE Borisov, a result that secured qualification from the Champions League group stages for the first time since 2010-11.

“The fans expect wins as much as we do,” claimed the Belgian international midfielder after the final whistle. “We created a lot of chances tonight and didn't take them. We have to be more clinical in front of goal.

“We bossed the first-half and looked to the win the match. The result went in our favour because a draw was enough. You have to win games like these, however, because now we have a tough match. We need to have belief in our ability and work on the basis that we created lots of chances tonight.

“We have to look at the positives because we're through. We're not bothered about whether we're booed or not. I think the fans are as happy as we are to have qualified but they expect a win just like we do.

"We weren't afraid. We created chances and tried to play football. We're confident. We played well and gave everything we could. Let's take the positives out of it. We're through, end of. We have to work, give more out there and get back to winning ways as soon as possible."
