“I’m happy to have the coach’s faith,” Palmieri said after the game. “I’m doing everything I can to get onto the pitch and the boss is seeing that. I can’t let up now – I need to keep going the way I am.”
The Brazilian left-back, who came on in the 78th minute in place of Stephan El Shaarawy, scored his first goal for the Giallorossi at San Siro to put his side 3-0 up against AC Milan.
How did it feel to round the season off with a goal?
“It was an amazing feeling. I’m delighted to have scored for Roma at a great stadium like San Siro. I want to thank God and everyone who’s shown faith in me.”
You played in a more attacking wide position today. How did you find it?
“I feel good at full-back but I like playing as a wide midfielder too. I’d already played there in the past. I enjoyed it and I’m pleased with how things are going.”
