Roma’s club doctor, Riccardo Del Vescovo, spoke to Roma Radio on Friday to confirm the Greek defender’s injury.
Manolas has suffered a blow to the adductor magnus muscle in his leg.
“Kostas has injured his adductor magnus muscle,” Del Vescovo said. “It will sideline him for a few days, but the injury isn’t serious. It’s just a minor one.
“At the end of training of Wednesday, Kostas said he was feeling some pain in the left part of the adductor muscle group. We did some initial tests to see how it would develop over the next few hours.
“The pain was still there the next day and all the clinical tests came back showing a problem. We decided to put him on an individual routine before doing more tests, which revealed some oedema, suggesting quite a lot of bleeding.
“The bruise isn’t that noticeable and it’s a minor injury, but we need to deal with it carefully. At this point he’ll be out of action for seven days.”
