Mazzoleni to officiate Roma's trip to Cagliari

Mazzo

Referee Paolo Silvio Mazzoleni will take charge of the Giallorossi's away trip to Cagliari in the second match of Serie A

It will be Mazzoleni's 20th time officiating Roma, who have a great record with him in charge. The Giallorossi have won 13 out of 19 games under the Bergamo-based official, drawing five and losing just once (away against AC Milan in 2011-12).

The last time the referee from Lombardy was paired up with Roma was on 13 March 2016, when Luciano Spalletti's men defeated Udinese 2-1 at the Dacia Arena thanks to goals from Edin Dzeko and Alessandro Florenzi.

Cagliari don't have as fond memories of Mazzoleni as the Sardinian club have lost nine, drawn five and won just one with him in the middle.

Assistant referees Fabrizio Posado and Salvatore Longo, fourth official Gianmattia Tasso and additional assistants Luca Vanti and Luigi Nasca complete the officiating team for Sunday's contest at the Stadio Sant'Elia.
