Emerson Palmieri underwent tests on Tuesday that revealed a grade 1 myofascial strain to the soleus muscle in his left calf.
The Brazilian full-back suffered the injury during Sunday's 0-0 draw with Empoli.
He is expected to be out of action for 2-3 weeks.
