Nainggolan's goal - on the stroke of half-time - put the Giallorossi 2-0 up at the break, as a Mohamed Salah brace in the second half rounded off the scoring.
The result was near perfect preparation, ahead of a tough run of fixtures that includes Lazio, AC Milan and league leaders Juventus.
“We could have been a lot further ahead in the first half, but we missed a lot of chances," Nainggolan said afterwards. "When we got to 4-0 we tried to take the sting out of the game and manage possession, because we’ve used up a lot of energy this year.
"We had more chances in the second half too and it’s a shame we conceded that goal.”
On the five remaining games, he added: “We’re taking it game by game. Up first is the derby. Physically we’re where we need to be – we can prepare properly when we only have one game per week. All three of them are difficult games but we’re relaxed about our preparations. We have to play the way we know how to.”

The midfielder admitted there will be a special edge to Sunday's game, after losing out in the Coppa Italia this season.
“I’ve lost one derby out of six but unfortunately that was the most important one," he noted. "It’s always a special game but we’re up to the task.
"Lazio are a good side and they’re doing well, as are we. It’ll be an evenly fought game.”
