Dzeko sets best scoring campaign of his career with brace against Milan

DZKEO

Edin Dzeko scored his 26th and 27th Serie A goals of the campaign to drive Roma to victory on Sunday night - and in the process set a new personal best scoring campaign.

The Bosnian has never scored so many league goals in one season, as his two first-half strikes helped Roma to a 4-1 win over AC Milan.

Dzeko is now also ahead in the race for the league's top goalscorer award - two goals ahead with three games remaining.

"It's never easy to come to San Siro and score four goals," Dzeko said afterwards. "We played an almost flawless 90 minutes.

"It's a shame about the goal we conceded but we've got to be pleased overall."

You've scored 37 goals this season beating your personal best from your Wolfsburg days...

"I'm pleased. I know I've worked hard all year and it's important for my confidence too. In general though I always look at the team before myself as an individual. We all played well tonight."

You came off with a calf problem. Will you be fit for the Juventus game?

"I felt a twinge but maybe it was just cramp. We'll see tomorrow. It will be another big game. We have three to go and we must win them all."
