Peres provided the run and cross that Sadiq Umar converted, as the Giallorossi ended their week-long retreat in Pinzolo with a 1-0 win over the Czech side.
"I think we started well: we are on the right path, we want to get even better and develop further," Peres said. "There are so many things I can still work on.
"I'm happy with the work we've done during this training camp, we listened to the Mister and tried to do as he wanted. I think this can be a big season for us."
Peres added that his attacking intent was part of coach Eusebio Di Francesco's express instructions.
"He trusted me to take people on one-on-one, it's my strength and every time I tried it it seemed to come off," Peres said. "This is what I have to do, it's a strength of mine and one I need to make the most of - to beat the man and create space for my teammates to score."
