For his final training session with the first team, thousands of fans descended on the club's training ground at Trigoria, hoping to get one more glimpse at the iconic captain who has represented his boyhood club for 25 years.

Eventually, after final preparations for the game against Genoa had been completed, the decision was taken to let the fans inside the grounds - where Totti came out to meet and greet those that have cheered him for over two decades.

Fans from all over the world were present as Totti went along the crowd accepting their thanks following his legendary career.

Totti spent over 20 minutes signing items for fans, shaking hands and accepting their kind words.

The 40-year-old will play in his final competitive game for the Giallorossi at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, in a game that sold out in a matter of hours.
