The Roma Question: What does Patrik Schick bring to this Roma team?

Richard Whittle / @RichWman: “Creativity - linking up with Dzeko like Salah did. He can play right along the front line or as support striker. He has the eye for goal, close skills, personality, youth, star quality and massive potential to turn a game like Totti once did.”

That would help Roma to play not just for the present but also for the future. Maybe not in the very recent past, but often we have signed ex-great players that came for the last contract of their career and lasted for a year - or sometimes barely even a day. Schick could be a real gem.”

The Serie A Question: Which Italian side got the toughest Champions League draw?

@RichWman: “Roma without a doubt - tough, tough physical sides in Chelsea and Atletico Madrid. It’s important to win first at home to build momentum, but a massive test especially for an inexperienced coach.”

@RomaClubNYC: “Roma, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are going to play this competition for the win but generally speaking, Group H, with Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and APOEL is the ‘group of death’."

@Marcocalcio22: “Unfortunately, Roma. I pray that both they and Chelsea go through (I have to support the Italians). Hopefully Di Francesco surprises me in Europe.”

The General Football Question: Which club in Europe had the best transfer window?

@RichWman: “PSG obviously. Neymar and Mbappe could turn them into a super club. In Italy, Juve are astute, while Inter is solid. With Milan we will see, and then Roma with Schick of course.”

@RomaClubNYC: “Paris Saint Germain. When you sign Neymar and Mbappe, no-one can say otherwise. I think it is time for the French team to finally make a push to reach the final of the Chamions League. The team has always been competitive since they signed Ibrahimovic but now it looks even more mature. The only weak point is the goalkeeper, that's why they have recently looked at Serie A again (after Sirigu left, there were rumours about Reina). But these two players are enriching a truly competitive team. To quote Iniesta, Neymar's loss for Barcelona is comparable to Bonucci's for Juventus. In Italy, the best markets were between Roma, Milan and Juventus.”

@Marcocalcio22: “It's hard to say anyone besides PSG just because of the talent they've brought in, that's the obvious answer. A less obvious and unpopular one is Napoli. They kept all of their top players with Insigne, Mertens and Koulibaly being wanted by all of Europe and that's not easy. Underrated mercato for them.”
