On This Day: 90 years ago Roma played their first competitive game

On 25 September 1927, Roma played in their first ever competitive match.

The Giallorossi, founded earlier in the year, faced off against Livorno in the first match of the 1927-28 championship at the Motovelodromo Appio.

Roma, trained by coach William Garbutt, won 2-0 thanks to goals from Ziroli and Fasanelli.
