Stefan / @LupiDiRoma: “Roma have a really good chance of making it through as long as we get a result against Chelsea again. I think this team has the fight in them to do it.”
Antonio / @ASRomaData: “The Soccer Power Index of FiveThirtyEight, which is based on advanced statistics, gives Roma 79% chance to make the knockout round against the 32% of Atletico Madrid. After the group draw the odds were favouring Atletico at 69% and Roma at 64%. I think we will make it - we need at least two points in the next two matches.”
Raffaele / @ItalianoCalcio: “Yes, I think Roma will qualify for the knockout round of the Champions League. They have proven themselves to be one of the strongest teams in Italy, and they have to carry that into the Champions League. They showed their toughness, fighting back against Chelsea in London to earn a draw. Roma have also drawn with Atletico Madrid. They have the leadership as well with Nainggolan, De Rossi and Dzeko.”
@LupiDiRoma: “I think Icardi will win the Capocannoniere race. Spalletti's system suits his style of play and I think he can score a ridiculous amount of goals.”
@ASRomaData: “I put my five cents on Icardi. The Argentinian striker found the net 24 times last season in a heavily underperforming team. The guidance of Spalletti, a better organised Inter and his excellent start are serious hints he may improve on last year’s tally. I hope Dzeko will happily trade his Capocannoniere title with some silverware for Roma.”
@ItalianoCalcio: “I believe Ciro Immobile will win the Capocannoniere race. He’s off to a remarkable start with 13 goals in nine games. Immobile has shown in the past that he has what it takes to lead Serie A in scoring and he is playing on a good team. Dzeko will finish with a lot of goals, but Roma have more scoring options than Lazio. Immobile needs to shoulder the goal-scoring for Lazio.”
@LupiDiRoma: “No, I don't think they should be. The season is really long and a lot can happen throughout. There's many instances where coaches take over and win a trophy.”
@ASRomaData: “For how much it has been demonstrated that in most cases the performance improvement after firing a coach is only temporary, this is a management decision to be kept open. Teams should be free to make their own mistakes after all.”
@ItalianoCalcio: “No, I don’t think teams should be banned from firing their coach during the season. Coaches know the nature of the business – results matter and if you aren’t getting them, you won’t last long. If a team doesn’t feel their current coach is the right fit anymore, why force them to stick with them for an entire season. Sometimes that change can spark a team and help them salvage their season.”
