Serie A have confirmed that the 2018-19 season will begin on 19 August 2018 and end on 26 May 2019.
The biggest change for next season sees the introduction of a slate of Boxing Day fixtures as part of an extensive festive period of games: with matchdays planned for the 22nd, 26th and 29th of December.
As with this season, the winter break will come in January - with the weekend of 13 January free of fixtures.
The other major change to proceedings refers to the transfer market: in Italy the summer transfer market will close on 18 August - the day before the season begins - and in January on the 19th, again on the eve of the resumption of games.
