Once again, the Giallorossi will return to the Italian capital needing a three-goal second leg victory in order to progress, after two late goals on Merseyside from Edin Dzeko and Diego Perotti gave Eusebio Di Francesco's side some hope.
"We always focus on the positives," Fazio said afterwards. "We are fighters and we will give absolutely everything until the last second. We are not beaten yet, once again with the strength of our fans behind us we will fight to the last moment to try and turn this tie around."
He added: "We don’t need to change anything, we have tried to battle for the whole game – this is football.
"We will fight until the last moment; we are a great team, we have reached this far and we still want to go on.”
