Radja: Defeat difficult to accept

FKL

Radja Nainggolan was once again left to rue some misfortune at the Allianz Stadium, as Roma suffered a 1-0 defeat against Juventus on Saturday.

Medhi Benatia scored the only goal of the game to give the Bianconeri the three points, despite a flurry of late chances for the Giallorossi - who saw Alessandro Florenzi hit the bar and Patrik Schick thwarted with a great late opening.

Afterwards, Nainggolan acknowledged that the Giallorossi were unable to make the most of their openings.

“Juve are a great side. We wanted to press them high up the pitch, but when you do that it is always dangerous if they play out," he said.

"Coming here, and digging in like we did and then managing to create a few good chances without scoring, you do start to wonder if you'll be able to get a draw.”

How was Patrik Schick feeling in the dressing room after missing that chance?

“He was a bit down but I think that's normal. He's got fantastic ability and he's working hard for the team. He probably would have stuck a chance like that away on another day. It's not an easy spell for him but hopefully he'll soon be helping the team with his goals.”

Are Roma still in the Scudetto race?

“I've said all along that we must take things one game at a time. We're still up there and we have a game in hand. It's not a disaster to lose to Juventus and there's half a season left to play. We can catch up if we don't drop too many points. We're having a good season. It's not easy but we have to keep working away so that we can go as high as possible.”
