The Giallorosse had to battle hard for the three points, in what was a fiercely contested encounter against a team at the bottom of the Serie A standings.

Within the first three minutes, Roma made a defensive mistake that allowed the home side to take the lead. However, this was swiftly reversed thanks to goals from the formidable attacking force of Emilie Haavi and Valentina Giacinti.

The hosts found an equaliser just before half-time through Bianca Bardin, but it was Andressa Alves' second half penalty which ultimately decided the game and secured the three points for Roma.
