Arezzo 0-3 Roma Women: Confident start to cup campaign

The Giallorosse set up a decisive final group game with Como – who beat the same opposition 1-0 earlier in the season – with an efficient away performance, as coach Alessandro Spugna rotated his side after a busy run of fixtures.

Elin Landstrom, Claudia Ciccotti and Sophie Roman Haug got on the scoresheet for Roma, as the likes of Nina Kajzba and Zara Kramzar also enjoyed an extended runout.

"We were able to give a number of young players a chance, we were able to play well, score a few goals and keep a clean sheet," Spugna said afterwards. "A job well done."

Spugna’s side are back in action on Sunday as they travel to face AC Milan in Serie A.

The showdown with Como, meanwhile, is scheduled for the start of January.
