With fears about the severity of the injury, Spinazzola moved quickly to reassure fans he remains in good spirits.
The full-back has been one of the stars of Euro 2020 this summer - helping his side reach the semi-finals of the competition, even if he is now highly unlikely to play any further part himself in the campaign.
"Unfortunately we all know what happened, but our Italian dream continues and with this amazing group of ours nothing is impossible," Spinazzola wrote.
"I can only say that I will be back soon - you can be sure of that!"
