Paloma Lazaro grabbed her tenth goal of the season to give the Giallorosse the lead late in the first half, before Manuela Giugliano clinched the three points with a well-taken finish with just 10 minutes remaining.

Betty Bavagnoli's side dominated proceedings throughout at Stadio Tre Fontane, although they occasionally struggled to turn the possession and pressure into clear sights of goal.

"I'm pleased for the win and pleased for the goal too - it shows I'm happy and doing well," Giugliano said.

"Right now we are in good form and I think you can really see that out on the pitch."
