    Villar acknowledges patience was lacking

Gonzalo Villar was left frustrated in the wake of Roma's 0-0 draw with Benevento on Sunday night.

The Giallorossi failed to break down their opponents, as a chance to close the gap on AC Milan in second place agonisingly slipped away at the Stadio Vigorito.

"It was a tough night for us," Villar said.

"It was difficult to create dangerous openings, especially with every opposition player behind the ball. Too often we made the wrong decision, either with the first pass or the final ball."

He added: "Now we have to focus on the next couple of games, on the Europa League and then the match against AC Milan.

"This week we will watch the game back, understand where we went wrong and what we need to improve. Right now, in the immediate aftermath, it's hard for me to offer much more. We definitely need to be a bit more patient in certain moments."
