The Giallorosse had plenty of chances throughout the contest and could - and perhaps should - have scored more, with the quartet of Elisa Bartoli, Paloma Lazaro, Manuela Giugliano and Andressa Alves getting on the scoresheet.
It was captain Bartoli who unlocked the match after a slightly wasteful start, as she carried the ball into a dangerous position before rifling a low shot home.
It was a perfect way for the Italy international to celebrate her 250th Serie A appearance.
"It must mean I'm getting older!" Bartoli joked afterwards. "But I'm delighted to have reached this milestone while playing for Roma, and delighted to have opened the scoring today."
When Lazaro turned home in typically efficient fashion soon after, Roma were finally on their way.
In the second half the chances kept coming thick and fast, although only Giugliano and Andressa - from the penalty spot - could find a way beyond the Pink Bari goalkeeper.
For Andressa it was her fifth straight game with a goal (a new club record), as January signing Marija Banusic also made her debut for the club.
"Today we got another big win, although our performance was not quite as good this time," coach Betty Bavagnoli said.
"We weren't quite as neat and tidy, although the pitch may have played a part in that.
"I'm happy with the three points, but we can't lose sight of the way we want to play, the way we want to manage games in certain situations and be as efficient as possible."
