In the first leg of the quarter-final tie in Tuscany, the Giallorosse were in dominant form almost from start to finish - as Paloma Lazaro (2), Annamaria Serturini and Andressa Alves all got themselves on the scoresheet.
Agnese Bonfantini also hit the crossbar as Betty Bavagnoli's side created countless chances throughout, leaving them in a strong position ahead of next month's second leg.
"This is the sort of Roma I always want to see, but it takes time to build," Bavagnoli said afterwards.
"I'm delighted with the goals we scored but also having now kept two clean sheets in a row. I asked for the utmost focus and the girls have responded brilliantly."
With Lazaro in clinical form in front of goal, the Giallorosse did not suffer any of the attacking wastefulness that has characterised some of their recent displays.
When Andressa slotted home moments into the second half to make it 4-0, it looked like an even bigger win could have been on the cards.
Nevertheless, the result continued a positive start to 2021 for the squad.
"Since Christmas there has been a change, especially mentally," Lazaro said.
"We want to achieve something and the Coppa Italia could be a great opportunity to do that. I'm pleased to be back among the goals, I always want to help the team and I want to keep that up."
