The Giallorosse travel to Turin to face the reigning Serie A champions in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final meeting - and they do so holding a 2-1 advantage from last month's first leg.
That game was the first time the Bianconere have lost in domestic football this season, and almost two years in total.
"Today we can say it - this is the biggest game of the season," Bavagnoli said.
"I have always said that every game is important and crucial for our development, but from today clearly this becomes a chance for us to do something concrete, to really underline the progress we've been making."
How have you prepared for this game?
"We've prepared in the right way, because we've gone into this week knowing what's at stake and wanting to build on all the great work we've done over the last few weeks. Knowing that we are going to play the best team in the league, we can't lose the humility that has defined our progress so far.
"But, at the same time, we need to be calm and focused and try and play our way, hoping that we can produce the same performance and results that we have done recently."
How are the players doing? Are there any fitness worries?
"Our only minor concern is with Andressa, because she has just come back from international duty with a knock and is not back to 100% - so we will make a late decision on whether we can use her.
"Giada Greggi has returned to training this week and that's been a massive boost for everyone. Clearly she is not yet ready to play in the game, but it was great for me and everyone else to be able to have her with us. She is a huge talent and she represents the future of this team, so we are all really happy."
