Tavagnacco 0-5 Roma: Clear cup victory

Roma Women kicked off their Coppa Italia campaign in style on Saturday morning, winning 5-0 away to UPC Tavagnacco.

The Giallorosse took an early lead through Osinachi Ohale - scoring on her first start for the club - and built on that before half-time, as Andrine Hegerberg and Manuela Giugliano also made no mistake with subsequent chances in front of goal.

In the second half, Agnese Bonfantini marked her 50th appearance for the club with another goal - before Emma Severini grabbed her first-ever goal for the club to round off the scoring.

In this season's Coppa Italia the tournament starts with a round-robin group stage - with Roma also set to face Roma CF for a place in the knockout rounds.

"Today it was important to make sure we performed well and we won," Bavagnoli said.

"The biggest positive for me was seeing the quality of some of our young players, our academy system is making us proud.

"Roma can look forward to a future with a lot of young players that are improving a lot."
