Europa League: Group set for Giallorossi

Roma will face Young Boys, CFR Cluj and CSKA Sofia in the group stage of this season Europa League group stage.

The Giallorossi discovered their opponents at Friday's draw in Nyon.

Seeded in Pot 1 for the draw, Paulo Fonseca's side will now prepare for trips to Switzerland, Romania and Bulgaria over the remainder of the year.

The Giallorossi have played both CSKA Sofia and CFR Cluj four times in their history, with the games against Cluj coming in the Champions League in 2008-09 and 2010-11.

Roma faced CSKA Sofia, meanwhile, in the 1983-84 European Cup - a run which eventually ended in the final - and during the group stage of the UEFA Cup in 2009-10.

This will be the first meeting with Young Boys in European competition.

Roma reached the last-16 of last season's competition, before going out to eventual winners Sevilla.

Individual fixture details for the group stage will be released in due course.
