Giallorossi to play commemorative esports friendly against Gornik Zabrze

Roma will face off against Gornik Zabrze on the virtual pitch on Wednesday, as a way to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the last meeting between the two teams.

Roma's Polish esports player Damie will look to exact revenge on the Polish side in a best-of-three FIFA series to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the 1969-70 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup semi-final.

The showmatches will begin at 19:48 CEST - 50 years to the minute since the infamous coin toss that decided the semi-final tie, the last time this method was used as a tie-breaker in European football.
