The club, through its Roma Cares foundation and with the support of Car Partner Hyundai, wanted to deliver a gift to Roma’s youngest season ticket holders, who have been forced to stay home for over a month due to the emergency situation across Italy due to the Covid-19 crisis.
The club brought Roma mascot Romolo out of isolation to deliver many of the Easter eggs, much to the delight of the children, while club legend Vincent Candela and CEO Guido Fienga also volunteered to distribute some of the presents to the young fans.
The latest Roma Cares initiative is part of the ‘Together’ project, launched by the club to help fans in the capital during the pandemic. In recent days and weeks, Roma Cares has supported elderly fans, hospitals, women and children in care homes and also members of the community most in need.
The Easter eggs were received by season ticket holders under the age of 10 as well as 65 children with intellectual disabilities who attend AS Roma's Calcio Integrato academy each week.
WeTaxi, Mobility Partner of AS Roma, also took part in the delivery, while the eggs were made by ICAM.
