Fabio Melillo's Under-19 side were always in control of the contest, taking a commanding first half lead thanks to strikes from Chiara Manca and Eleonora Pacioni.

Alice Corelli's finish just moments into the second half effectively decided the contest - with Corelli, who has also been a part of Betty Bavagnoli's senior squad this season, rounding off the scoring with her second of the game in the 50th minute.

"We played well, it was a spirited game at the start but we were able to make our quality tell," Melillo told Roma TV.

"These games are always tough, you never quite know how they will go. But we approached the game in the right way and it's an important statement for us.

"Perhaps the scoreline could have been even bigger in the end, but the main thing is we have shown we can be a big threat in the league this season and we want to continue like this."
