ICC Futures: Under-14s start with two victories

Roma's Under-14 side kicked off their International Champions Cup Futures tournament in perfect fashion on Wednesday, winning both matches.

Alessandro Rubinacci's young side came from behind to beat Allstate Alianza Sueno 4-1 in their opening match - with Manuel Nardozi scoring a hat-trick and Lorenzo Bauco getting the other.

In the afternoon, Roma followed up that success with a narrow 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies - with Bauco getting himself on the scoresheet again.

On Thursday the Under-14s face Arsenal in their final group game, in a match that could decide who tops their group.

Group winners are guaranteed a place in the quarter-finals of the competition, along with the two best second-placed teams.
