Bavagnoli focused on continuing strong run of form

Coach Betty Bavagnoli is expecting another tough game on Saturday – as Roma Women travel to Bergamo to take on Atalanta Mozzanica.

The Giallorosse are currently on a four-match unbeaten run following last weekend’s 7-1 win against Chievo Verona, and now sit inside the top half of the table after a stuttering start to the campaign.

“We wanted to put together a run of results and we have done that – so now of course we want to keep doing that,” Bavagnoli told Roma TV.

“Obviously we respect the opposition and their quality, and know we have to keep working hard, each and every day, to be ready to face the teams in front of us. Every opponent we prepare for with the maximum respect and attention.

“In my opinion, Atalanta are a really strong side – regardless of their current position in the table. We know we will have to be focused, determined, brave when we face them, because obviously they will want the three points – to gain momentum, and to push back up the table.

“Of course, we want the same thing, we want to keep climbing the table – so it should make for an interesting game.”
