Daniele, who was born in the early hours of the morning in the Italian capital, was welcomed on social media not only by Roma, who his father Maurizo supports, but also by clubs, big and small, including Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Sunderland, Sevilla, Zenit Saint Petersburg and many others, from around the world.
As well as the clubs, football supporters from every part of the world, including Italy, Nigeria, Palestine, Spain, Cambodia, Rwanda, Israel, Norway, India and Pakistan all came together to pass on their well wishes to the newborn’s parents via Roma’s English Twitter account.
It was a remarkable show of football unity on social media that amazed Daniele’s proud parents.
“This was an unforgettable day and the welcome wishes to Daniele made it even better,” claimed Maurizo. “It is the most beautiful day of my life. Myself, my wife Francesca and my fresh son Daniele want to thank you all.”
